STARCLEAN® conveyor belt cleaners save time and money by reducing conveyor downtime, wasted material, manual handling, clean-up time, dust emissions, and health and safety concerns associated with material carryback.
Created by specialist manufacturer of conveyor belt scrapers, Schulte Strathaus, the innovative STARCLEAN® design is developed from a conveyor belt supplier’s perspective – providing optimum protection for the conveyor belt and increased scraper lifespan.
STARCLEAN® is used around the world in a wide variety of industries. Here in UK, sole distributor ProSpare introduced this leader in belt cleaning technology in 2016.
The majority of the STARCLEAN® range is built upon three fundamentals: TWIST-SWING® blade technology, user-friendly design and a unique, highly flexible, modular construction.
• Optimum contact between each scraper segment and belt
• Protects the belt and maximises wear life of the blades
• Ability to evade obstacles
TWIST-SWING® scraper blade segments feature their own separate spring, cleverly integrated into the polyurethane mounting foot. This allows for truly independent blade tensioning.
As each blade segment moves separately, they maintain optimum cleaning contact with the belt, irrespective of wear levels of adjacent blades.
TWIST-SWING® blades also deflect in the opposite direction, away from the belt. This protects conveyors and reduces the risk of failure in the event of belt or pulley lagging damage.
• Quick-release tensioners
• Tool-less scraper blade replacement
• Takes seconds to disengage, maintain and re-tension
The STARCLEAN® range contains a number of innovative tensioning devices. The quick-release “Raster” and “Torsion” tensioners allow for rapid disengagement and re-tensioning of the scraper.
Slot-in blade segments are quick and simple to remove, making cleaning or replacement easy.
This user-friendly design means site staff can quickly and safely carry out maintenance and housekeeping, keeping both costs and downtime to a minimum.
• Get the perfect spec. React to changes on-site.
Manufactured from top-quality materials, the truly modular system is built from interchangeable components. A combination of wear resistant blades, precision engineered tensioners, and durable blade bases can be specified to provide optimal performance in a wide range of applications.
• 2500+ units installed in UK
• Free site surveys. 30-day performance trials
• Service Contracts & Belt Plans available
• Large stockholding of components and spare parts
• MPA Health & Safety Award Winner 2024
STARCLEAN® primary cleaners are fitted at the “on-head” position of the head pulley. They can be used alone, or as a pre-cleaner in combination with a secondary cleaner for the highest levels of cleaning performance.
Highly wear-resistant polyurethane (PU) bladed cleaners are effective, versatile, and friendly to all belts.
Tungsten carbide bladed cleaners require minimal adjustment and are extremely effective at removing fines and moisture. They also provide an alternative to ‘under belt’ secondary cleaners where space limits installation.
STARCLEAN® secondary cleaners are fitted in the “under belt” position, on or behind the nip point.
The optimal choice for many. They utilise tungsten carbide blades and provide the benchmark for high efficiency removal of fines and moisture, offering the highest levels of conveyor cleaning performance.
For demanding applications, secondary cleaners can be paired with primary position pre-cleaners for the ultimate cleaning efficiency.
The STARCLEAN® chevron cleaner provides a good level of cleaning in a traditionally challenging application.
This secondary position cleaner is fitted in the ‘under belt’ position on the return strand, just after the head pulley.
With flexible polyurethane “fingers” cleaning deep into the cleats, the STARCLEAN® chevron series is a low cost and reliable alternative to technologies such as brush cleaners or air knives.
