ProSpare is delighted to announce the appointment of Managing Director, James Bullock, to the role of Vice President at the Materials Handling Engineers’ Association (MHEA).

James joined the MHEA Executive Committee in 2015 after a career spanning over 30 years in the concrete industry. Starting his career in 1984 at sister company and concrete industry specialist, ConSpare Ltd, James has an extensive knowledge of the industry which he uses to inform the MHEA’S strategy and create awareness of the sector.  He’s also passionate about working in the larger bulk materials handling industry as ProSpare continues to develop into new sectors.

James commented: “I’m thrilled to be appointed Vice President of the MHEA after serving as an Executive Committee Member for the last five years. Since joining the committee, I have helped develop BULKEX and I’m looking forward to helping the MHEA be at the heart of the bulk materials handling industry at a time when there is such a high level of infrastructure activity. The work that MHEA members do is vital in the delivery of important, national projects.”

James will act as Vice President of the MHEA for two years, before becoming the president in October 2021.

Since 1938, the MHEA has supported the technical and commercial interests of UK and overseas companies supplying and using bulk handling equipment.

Today, the MHEA represents members’ interests in a range of industry sectors, including: animal food, coal, cement, chemicals, ferrous & nonferrous metal production, food & drink, grain & derivatives, minerals & coal, mining, offshore oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, plastics & rubbers, ports, quarrying, solid biofuels, water and waste treatment.
