New service to allow fast integration of BFM® fitting

BFM® fitting is the global leader in flexible connector technology, and is proven to help make processes cleaner, safer and more efficient – with over 10,000 sites worldwide solving process connection problems in industries as diverse as food, pharma, minerals and chemical.

The BFM® fitting system combines a unique snap-in, blue-banded flexible connector with specially formed steel spigots. The vast majority of BFM® Spigots are welded into place on inlets / outlets on a process line and equipment. Although welding remains the optimum installation solution, where on-site welding proves challenging, BFM® Spigots can be specified in two additional options: Lipped Spigots for “Quick-Release” pipework systems, or alternatively customers can use ProSpare’s in-house expertise and utilise our newly launched Custom Fabricated Spigot service.

Unable to weld? We can help! As authorised UK distributor for BFM® fitting since 2007, our expert BFM® and Technical team can help design and fabricate bespoke spigots which allow users to get BFM® installed quickly, without the requirement for welding.

We take a standard BFM® Spigot, and modify the tail section with 316 or 304 stainless steel to create a custom fabrication specifically designed for your application. As our Custom Fabricated Spigots are both designed and manufactured off-site, interference to your production process is minimised. The reduction and/or elimination of on-site welding can also provide fast integration of the BFM® system and reduce installation costs.

Examples of Custom Fabricated Spigots include:

• Bolted Flanged Spigots: Allow bolted fixing to an array of standard processing equipment, such as screw conveyors, valves etc
• Extended Tail Sections: Allowing installation via common compression coupling systems
• Modified Tail Sections To Replace Existing Sub-Optimal Pipework: Including; “taper” conical adapter, round-to-square conversions, corrections for offset pipework
